We are producing high-quality films for third parties or for our own account. Our goal is to produce exceptionally good films and to combine the knowledge of competent horse people and experienced editors with our own know-how. „TV“ is an abbreviation for Thomas Vogel. His film productions have been very popular in the equestrian world since he started his business in 1989. Thomas Vogel is the man behind the camera and at the cutting table. He is a horseman through-and-through which is his most distinguishing feature and the main reason why he has focused on producing high-quality equine films. And one thing is for sure: His films leave a lasting impact and are certainly the best way to discover the whole, fascinating world of horses in animated pictures.

The team

Inge Vogel is responsible for the organisation and the running of new projects, and she has very often been the “spin doctor” of new films. Since 1992, she has also been the manager of the publishing house for horse videos, DVDs, books and CDs.


These are our competent and experienced employees, working on your orders: Susanne Tessarek, Petra Rohde, Frank Figge (order processing) and Tanja Beckmann (accounting manager). Stefanie Bokeloh-Brischke, media designer and horse expert, is the creative person and responsible for your public relation campaigns.


The team around Thomas Vogel is completed by a couple of regular, independent freelancers (editors, writers, speaker, translator …). Gudrun Braun from Hamburg has been contributing to many TV-productions as far as script, production and editing are concerned. Carola Clüver is responsible for “equestrian translations.”

History

Thomas Vogel was an event rider when he moved from the south of Germany to the rider’s town of Verden/Aller in 1980 to start his career in the stable of Hans Joachim Köhler, the famous horseman and founder of the Verden riding horse auctions. That is also were he completed his apprenticeship as a rider. Until 1984, he was the assistant of the auction management. He studied another four years at Köhler’s side in the German Horse Museum and benefited from the longtime experiences of this amazing horseman. When travelling to former East Prussia with Köhler, Thomas Vogel started to shot his first film. Inge Vogel is a skilled nurse and descends from a well-known breeder’s family. Therefore, her passion for horses is not a coincidence.

The small-scale business started to expand soon: Thomas Vogel combines his perfect feeling for the perfect screen with his knowledge about horses, and his film productions are certainly beyond compare. Whether educational films, documentations or advertising films – “TV” is familiar with all kinds of films. His productions do not only reveal expert knowledge, but also empathy and intuition. Thomas Vogel loves horses, that’s what becomes obvious when watching his films. He already hosted many well-known horse people in his studio: Philippe Karl, Dr. Reiner und Ingrid Klimke, Anja Beran, Peter Kreinberg, Richard Hinrichs, Linda Tellington-Jones and many others more.

In 1992, Inge and Thomas Vogel published their first catalogue with horse videos. VIDEOPOST was the name of the catalogue, and at that time, none of them knew scarcely that their catalogue selling business would meet such a lively demand among horse people. pferdia tv is specialized with all kinds of media (videos, DVDs, books, CDs) dealing with the subject horse, and the company is of course offering all films produced by Thomas Vogel as well as selected titles of other publishers.

In the course of the years, Thomas Vogel has collected hundreds of hours of valuable footage: horses with and without rider, in the pastures, in the stable and in front of the carriage – while being treated by the farrier, vet or during competitions, as a pleasure horse or playfellow, herds or individual horses.
